Resumo

O treinamento de força ou treinamento resistido se tornou um dos exercícios mais populares no Brasil e no mundo para melhora da aptidão física, condicionamento físico e melhora da força muscular; hipertrofia e qualidade de vida são um dos principais objetivos de indivíduos engajados em programas de treinamento de força. Para um treinamento eficiente, seguro e eficaz é necessário entender a importância das variáveis do treinamento de força, sendo as principais: volume, intensidade, intervalo de descanso entre as séries (pausa), ordem dos exercícios, velocidade de execução do movimento e frequência semanal. Atualmente encontram-se diversos estudos sobre o intervalo de descanso entre as séries (pausa). Portanto o objetivo do presente estudo foi verificar, por meio da revisão bibliográfica, a influência de diferentes tempos de pausa no treinamento de força.
