A INFLUÊNCIA DO EXERCÍCIO FÍSICO DE CAMINHADA NO CONTROLE DA DEPRESSÃO DE INDIVÍDUOS DEPENDENTES DO TABACO

Resumo

O tabagismo é considerado uma doença crônica e pode estar diretamente relacionado a doenças mentais, como ansiedade e depressão. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo geral analisar a “influência do exercício físico de caminhada no controle da ansiedade e depressão de indivíduos dependentes do tabaco”. A fim de alcançar os objetivos propostos na pesquisa, foi realizado um estudo experimental com 10 indivíduos dependentes do tabaco, que aceitaram participar do programa de caminhada. Foi aplicado o Teste de Cooper para avaliar a capacidade aeróbica, o Inventário de Depressão e Ansiedade de Aaron Beck, para identificar sintomas de depressão e ansiedade. Também, foi utilizado o monoxímetro, para identificar os níveis de monóxido de carbono nos pulmões dos participantes. Foi possível verificar a influência positiva do exercício físico de caminhada no controle da depressão de indivíduos dependentes do tabaco, melhorando a capacidade aeróbica dos praticantes, no controle da depressão, ansiedade e na diminuição de monóxido de carbono nos pulmões.
